This course is designed to allow the student to explore aviation technology, how to fly airplanes, how to read and understand land and map navigation systems, how watercraft such as small boats and other water propelled craft and some automotive technology is used. This course is aimed toward students interested in learning to fly airplanes and passing ground school.

This course is designed for the beginning drafting student with an interest in the creation of mechanical objects and creating graphic images on the computer screen.

This course is computer aided drafting in its advanced form. Techniques such as orthographic projection, isometric development and three-dimensional object development will be practiced during this course.

This course is a mixture of computer aided drafting and advanced techniques necessary to solve industrial problems. The students will be using computer aided drafting to complete mechanical (automobile parts), architectural (houses) and structural drawings (bridges).
SITE LAYOUT AND FOUNDATIONS: 604 (Formerly Surveying)
18 Weeks/1 Credit/Prerequisite: Construction Technology 1 (Construction I & II) 10th, 11th, & 12th only
Students will learn surveying terminology and the proper use of transits and levels. Students will be required to participate in groups to survey property boundaries, construction site layouts, foundations, etc. Field experience (outside) will be the bulk of the students learning.

This course will be an introduction to the printing industry. With the use of a computer, students will be required to design business cards, letterheads, certificates, resumes, t-shirts, and other designs.
18 Weeks/1 Credit/Prerequisite: Desktop Publishing 1 or Drafting 1 or teacher approval
This class is designed to further enhance the experience of the printing industry with the use of the latest software. Quark Express will be used to make business cards, T-shirts, brochures and other graphic designs used in the business industry.
INTRODUCTION TO CONSTRUCTION (CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY 1) (CONSTRUCTION 1): 607
18 Weeks/1 Credit/Prerequisite: Sophomore and ABOVE
Students will learn construction terminology, the proper use of power equipment draft, read basic drawings and visit job sites. Students will be required to participate in a group construction project that will be operated as a small business. The sale of the projects will aid in the funding of the class and its equipment. The class will be based on residential construction.

This course is a short review of Construction Tech. I concepts will be covered. Students will be introduced to other construction techniques, such as the use of concrete, steel, trimming, siding, etc. The course will mainly be based on building (class participation).
HOME REPAIR: 610

This class will familiarize students with some of the basics of home repair projects. Students will complete activities such as: wiring electrical outlets, laying ceramic tile, roofing, plumbing, finishing drywall, etc.
