This course provides a student with understanding of the concepts, skills, and applications of Algebra I. The core content taught in this class fulfills the state graduation requirement. This course provides a review of pre-requisite concepts and mastery of basic Algebra I concepts.

ACCELERATED GEOMETRY: 103

This course is an accelerated, in depth, approach to the concepts of geometry. Lines, angles, polygons, circles and polyhedrons will be studied. Logical thinking, problem solving, reasoning and proofs will be emphasized.

Algebra 3 provides the student with some of the necessary topics to prepare for Pre-Calculus. This calculator-based course includes polynomial functions and rational expressions, conic, sequences and series, probability and statistics, and discrete math.
ACCELERATED PRE-CALCULUS: 111 /This course is recommended for college bound students.

Pre-requisite is the successful completion of Algebra 3 OR an A or B in Accelerated Algebra 2 with teacher recommendation. This course is designed to offer students concepts in groups, fields, sequences and series, analytic geometry, functions, complex numbers, exponential and logarithmic functions, probability, matrices, and trigonometry topics.
ACCELERATED CALCULUS 1: 112

Calculus I is a college level course which will include analytic geometry, trigonometry, limits, continuity, differentiation, and applications of the derivative necessary for the differential calculus portion of the AB Advanced Placement test.

Calculus II is a college level course, which will include all topics necessary for the successful completion of the AB advanced placement test. The instruction will include integration of algebraic and transcendental functions, methods of integration, conic sections and a comprehensive review of Calculus I before the Advanced Placement test.
AP CALCULUS 3: 114

Calculus 3 will include the topics necessary for the successful completion of the BC Advanced Placement Test. The topics included are hyperbolic functions, polar coordinates, infinite sequences, infinite series, power series, vectors, and a comprehensive review for the BC test. Differential equations may be included when necessary for the BC test.

This course is designed to be the equivalent of a college introductory statistics course. Instruction will include combinatorics, probability, random variables, normal distributions, binomial distributions, Monte Carlo methods and statistics. Primary responsibility is to prepare students for the National AP Statistics Exam. T-I 83/84 calculator is required.

Credit will be granted based on daily efforts to assist, designing helpful reviews, etc. Those interested in education as a career will be encouraged to take this course. Data will be collected on failure rates within these math courses to see how effective this course might be.
